Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

FLEA had a wonderful Christmas and we hope you did, too!

On Christmas Eve, Elisabeth was so anxious to leave cookies, milk and carrots out for Santa and his reindeer. However, she was also very concerned that the reindeer might decide to go poop all over our house. (After eating carrots at nearly every house, they're going to have to go to the bathroom at some point, right?) She kept saying, "I have a bad feeling the reindeer are going to poop all over our front porch!" She even mentioned it in her bedtime prayer:

Dear God, watch over me tonight. Please don't let the reindeer poop all over our front porch. Amen.

She was also quite concerned that Santa might not know where to find the cookies, milk and carrots. She pointed out that last year, we left the plate in the dining room on the buffet. (She has a great memory for a 4-year old! I can't believe she remembered that detail from last Christmas.) This year, we left the plate by the stockings in the family room. Elisabeth was afraid that Santa would be looking for the goodies in the dining room, and asked if we should move the plate so he'd know exactly where to find them. After we convinced her that Santa would most likely see the plate when he came to fill our stockings, she insisted that we at least better move the plate way off to the side instead of leaving it right in front of the fireplace. After all, he was going to come down the chimney and she didn't want him to knock his glass of milk over! Never mind that we don't even have a chimney...We're happy to report that Santa came to our house last night and managed not to knock his glass of milk over!

When Elisabeth woke up this morning, she said, "I didn't hear Santa come!" Then she ran downstairs and discovered that, in spite of her best efforts, the reindeer DID leave a surprise on our front porch. Hey, at least it's proof that they came: Elisabeth quickly forgot about the reindeer mess and was thrilled to see that Santa remembered that she had asked for a scooter...
...while Allison loved the ball popper that Santa left for her: All in all, it was a great Christmas. We had lots of fun with our girls, we enjoyed spending time with our families, and we are very fortunate! Merry Christmas!
