FLEA is enjoying a lazy holiday weekend with Fred home for 3 days.
We took a little trip to the Colorado Mills outlet mall near Golden. Our destination? The LEGO store! Elisabeth picked out a LEGO set from the Belville collection (for girls) with a million tiny pieces, while Allison scored a few farm sets that have bigger pieces and are thus easier for her to play with.
The girls are loving their new LEGOs. Elisabeth even opted to skip the Home Depot Kids Workshop today in favor of staying home to play with her LEGOs.We also paid a visit to Bass Pro Shops so Fred could check out all their outdoorsy stuff. Elisabeth took a shot at climbing their rock wall; we were impressed that she climbed 3/4 of the way up the wall before she decided to quit! Here are a few very blurry pictures from Fred's phone.
Fireworks are tonight, although it's supposed to rain (again!) so we'll have to wait and see what we end up doing. FLEA wishes you all a safe and happy Independence Day!P.S. Update on Fred's toe: it's still quite swollen and he's still limping around. He ended up going back to the hospital 3 nights in a row for antibiotics via I.V. He did say that his toe feels much better now, so hopefully the antibiotics took care of the infection. I still haven't had any luck getting a picture of Fred wearing The Boot, so here's Allison standing in for him:
