Let the Parties Begin

It's party time in FLEA land!  Party season actually started a few week ago when Grandma with Brown Hair was visiting.  We celebrated the girls' birthdays early with cake and presents.

 

 

Then it was time for Fred's work Christmas party.  His employer rented out the historic Boulder Theater in downtown Boulder.  

We enjoyed an open bar, fabulous all-organic appetizers, and a concert by 2 well-known local groups.  We joined 500 other people for a fantastic party.  When we left around 9:30pm, the party was still going strong!

We missed my work Christmas party this year due to The Bead incident.  I am impressed that my employer had a party at all, and that the entire family was invited.  We could have (should have, would have, didn't) enjoyed an open bar, appetizers, and harpist in the lobby of the Engineering Center.  Oh well, maybe next year!

Last night was our neighborhood Christmas party.  This year, instead of cramming everyone into the clubhouse (which only holds about 60 people comfortably) for the party, the HOA rented a room at Noah's Event Center.  

Noah's opened in the business district of our neighborhood earlier this year and has been a great addition to the "downtown" area of Bradburn.  It's a beautiful facility and we had a good time.  As usual, the best part was the horse-drawn carriage rides!  We went for 2 rides through the neighborhood.

Today we are off to Jump Street, an indoor trampoline park, to celebrate Elisabeth's 8th birthday with a group of her friends!  This week both girls have classroom holiday parties, and then we'll celebrate Elisabeth's 8th birthday next Saturday with Grandma and Grandpa H. before celebrating an early Christmas with them!  Stay tuned for more party pictures!
