Halloween is here! Allison's school got the party started with a parade and Halloween party on Friday.

We hit Treat Street at the local high school and trick-or-treated through the school hallways. We even made it through a pretty scary haunted house!
Then it was pumpkin time. Last year, Allison insisted that her pumpkin was NOT going to have a mouth. It was the quietest pumpkin ever. This year, she initially insisted that a hand-drawn face would suffice.

When we finally convinced her to carve the pumpkin, she insisted on a simple yet sad face. We tried to get her to agree to turn the frown upside down, but she wasn't having any of that. So, a sad pumpkin it is:
Elisabeth had grand plans for her family of pumpkins and kept Fred busy custom-carving each one:
What a fine looking bunch of pumpkins, sad or not!
