My Fair Lady
For several weeks, Elisabeth had been asking to spend the night on Grandpa's boat. All of her cousins have slept on Grandpa's boat at least once, and she wanted to experience it for herself. On Monday, her wish was granted. We drove to Holland and Elisabeth spent the night on the boat. She was beyond thrilled!Early Tuesday morning, FLEA headed to the beach to take some pictures. It was so peaceful and we practically had the beach to ourselves. As usual, Elisabeth was more than willing to model for me...
...while Allison gave the paparazzi a piece of her mind.
More pictures from our beach photo shoot can be viewed here.Next, Elisabeth, Fred and Grandpa headed out and had a little fun with some of Grandpa's toys.
Fred returned nice and dry, while Grandpa and Elisabeth returned drenched, no thanks to Fred. Fred, you better watch out -- revenge can be sweet. Then the moment we've been waiting for all summer arrived. Grandpa treated his 5 oldest granddaughters to the Ottawa County Fair! (Allison's still a bit young for the fair...) This was Elisabeth's first trip to a fair, and she absolutely loved it! She had so much fun on all the rides.
My niece Emma got a kick out of hearing her Aunt Lynn scream in terror on the Tilt-a-Whirl ride. I was clinging to Emma for dear life while she laughed hysterically. Sorry, no pictures of my weak moment...but you can view other pictures from the fair here.Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa, for some fairly amazing summer memories!
