Elisabeth had a wonderful time sleeping over at Gwen's house on Friday! Gwen's mom took them swimming at an indoor pool, then it was back to their house for a slumber party. I heard that those girls stayed up until midnight! (I believe it; Elisabeth doesn't nap anymore, yet she took a three hour nap on Saturday afternoon!!)
On Saturday morning, they went to Home Depot for the monthly kids workshop and had fun building a wheelbarrow planter. I'm so glad Elisabeth got to spend time with her special friend. A big thank you to Gwen and her mom, Elizabeth! Elisabeth will be talking about this for weeks to come!
In other weekend news, a very exciting thing happened in Mattawan. Ruthie the Cow came to town! Perhaps you've seen Ruthie, and maybe you recognize her as the mascot for Country Fresh milk. What made this extra fun for us is that Fred's company makes Country Fresh milk, so Ruthie is known as "one of the cows that Daddy works with." (That almost sounds vulgar, doesn't it?) Almost as cool as working with Tony the Tiger!
