Easter

Happy Easter! Easter was pretty uneventful and even rather crummy for FLEA this year, primarily because Allison has been very sick with the Virus of the Century. She's had stuff coming out both ends, and she's been very tired. The poor kid didn't even have any interest in finding her Easter basket on Sunday morning...nor did she have any desire to go hunting to find all the eggs that the Easter Bunny had hidden. Luckily, the rest of us have avoided the nasty virus so far. Here's Elisabeth enjoying her Easter basket (which the sneaky bunny hid in the shower in the main floor bathroom). Look closely, and you can see poor little Allison lying on the couch in the background. Unbeknownst to her, the Easter Bunny had hidden her Easter basket right behind the couch where she lay!We went to the ped today to get some anti-nausea meds since Allison is now 6 pounds below her normal weight. Today she actually ate 2 popsicles, 1/2 a piece of toast, and drank a cup of water -- AND kept it all down! That's progress! I let her sit on the front porch to get some fresh air while she ate her toast, and after we came back inside, she passed out in exhaustion at the kitchen table. Poor Allison!We are going to have to re-do Easter when she is better! Here's our upside-down little buddy during happier (and healthier) times: Oh (unrelated to Easter), we forgot to mention in a previous post that Elisabeth has been working very hard to earn Cougar Care coupons. She earns a coupon every time a teacher notices her exemplifying the school values. She can redeem the coupons for small items like pencils, stickers, balls, etc. from the Cougar cart that comes around once a month, OR she can save up 20 coupons and "buy" lunch with the principal. She thought eating lunch with the principal would be pretty cool, so she's been saving her coupons for a while now! She just hit her goal last week. Way to go, Elisabeth!
