Monday marked 100 days until Grandma with Brown Hair takes us all to Disney World! We made a long chain with 100 links that we draped over the mantle. We'll be counting down the days until we head off to the House of Mouse.
Fred also turned 40! We celebrated with a nice dinner at Zen Asian Bistro right here in our neighborhood (funny how we've gone out for Chinese for all of our birthdays!) It was our first visit to Zen. The food was good and the ambiance was nice. However, it's not exactly a kid-friendly place (no kiddie menu and - gasp - no crayons!) so I'm not sure we'll be back anytime soon! Back at home we celebrated with cake and ice cream.
Finally, Elisabeth and Fred attended their first Daddy-Daughter dance sponsored by the Cotton Creek PTA. The dance was western-themed and they had a boot stompin' good time! Yeehaw!
