Merry Christmas!!!

On Christmas Eve, we went to the children's Mass and then out to dinner. We got home around 8pm and got busy making cookies for Santa! We left 5 cookies for Santa, and carrots for the reindeer. Elisabeth decided that each of the 8 reindeer could have 2 carrots and then another 2 were for Rudolph. We made her do all the math to figure out how many carrots to leave ;) Are YOU smarter than a first grader? Do YOU know how many carrots we left for the reindeer?

Elisabeth decided to leave a little note for Santa:Dear, Santa
Hope you like the cokkies! Ech reindeer gets two carrots. P.S. Plese write back. Love, Elisabeth

We woke up this morning to discover that Santa had come!!! Here's what we found under the tree -- the Barbie Dream Town House that Elisabeth had asked for, and a baby doll for Allison! (She had asked Santa for two baby dolls; the other baby doll she got was the American Girl Bitty Baby that Grandma with Brown Hair gave her!) We all got stockings full of goodies from Santa, too!! Wow!! Thanks, Santa!
And wait -- there's more! Santa actually wrote Elisabeth back!!! Here's Santa's note:December 25, 2010
Dear Elisabeth and Allison,
Excellent cookies! The reindeer loved the carrots and were happy that you remembered them. But Blitzen could not finish his carrots; he was too full. Have a merry Christmas and don't forget that it is Jesus' birthday. Be good to each other and I will see you next year. Ho Ho Ho! Love, Santa Claus

Then on the other side, he continued...P.S. Oh, dear! I am VERY sorry I did not get a chance to put your Barbie Dream Townhouse together. Blitzen had a little accident on the front porch! No wonder he couldn't finish his carrots! I had to help Blitzen and next thing I knew, it was time to go to the next house. I hope your Daddy can put it together for me. Sorry! Love ya! Santa Claus

Oh, man!!! Sure enough -- there was a little reindeer accident on the front porch:Oh, Blitzen! Next year we'll have to leave some Pepto Bismol for you!
