We enjoyed a nice, laid-back New Year's Eve. We kicked off our evening by going out to dinner at a restaurant right outside our neighborhood that we've been meaning to check out. Let's just say it wasn't at all the type of restaurant we were expecting, nor were we overly impressed. At least we can check that place off our "been there, done that" list....and we know not to return. On the plus side, I didn't have to cook or do dishes!
After dinner we headed to a party at our next door neighbor's house. Our neighbor Michael is an artist and is in the process of converting part of his basement into an art studio. He had his studio and supplies set up so that his guests could paint their own canvas, and he also had wooden picture frames available for people to paint. The girls had a blast letting their creative juices flow. Here is Elisabeth's New Year's Eve master piece...

We enjoyed a nice evening with our neighbors, and both girls lasted until 10pm before we called it a night.
FLEA has lots of opportunities, adventures, and blessings to look forward to in 2010. Hope you can all say the same!
