We've been enjoying some fabulous spring weather here in the Rockies. It was in the mid 50's all week, and today it shot up to 63. We keep hearing that March and April are Colorado's snowiest months, so we are thoroughly enjoying the awesome weather while we can! We spent some time soaking up the sun in the park with several of our neighbors, and admiring our crocus. Yep, that's right, our spring bulbs are popping up already! A true sign that spring is in the air!
Elisabeth lost her 2nd front tooth, had a great time learning about different cultures at her Daisy Scout World Thinking Day, and is doing great in school. We got a glowing report at conferences a few weeks ago, and she is making fabulous progress reading. In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday, she read the entire 62-page Green Eggs and Ham book to me with no help at all. We let her play hooky and skip Religious Ed last week so she could attend her school's rollerskating party. She had a blast and was proud to show off her rollerskating skills to all her friends. This coming week, the kindergarten classes at Elisabeth's school are presenting Barnyard Moosical. Elisabeth is playing a pig in the musical (and she is quick to remind us that she is a clean pig), and has a dancing part! We are looking forward to the production! Allison continues to love school. Every day when I pick her up, she yells, "I went outside three times today! I painted in Art today! I played with Peyton!" She loves to paint and color, and would probably stay outside all day if we let her. She is having lots of fun at swim lessons and often looks over at me and gives me a big thumbs-up as if to say, "Did you see that, mom?! I'm doing good, huh? Thumbs up!" She loves to read books, and still wears a denim skirt and tights almost every single day.
He loves me, he loves me not! Pulling petals off a crocus flower on a beautiful 62-degree sunny day.
